Default poly chokes

ive got an old stevens model 820b 12ga.with a poly choke,best turkey gun ive shot.anybody else use a poly choke?

JD---Most of the younger crowd probably don't even know what a Polychoke is, LOL!

Back in the day; you would see them on bolt action shotguns with 36" barrels, we called goose guns.

They still sell them.

mortalcare---Click on the link in the sheridan post to look at them. They are a choke that has an adjuster that you turn to open of close the constriction, rather than the individaul screw-in chokes that you are probably familiar with.

Click on the link Sheridan has in his post and it will show you everything you want to know. You have to have a shotgun that is already threaded to accept one (see the video in the link where the guy shows how to install them) or else go to a gunsmith and have the barrel threaded to accept the choke. I didn't even know they were making them any more and haven't seen one in the field in a couple decades.

I resent that! I'm only 20, but I own a Moss 385 (although it's the Full choked version. not poly
