hens do have beards also but most of the ones i have seen or shot are not very thick just a few strands for the beard, this turkey you have looks like a hen or a very young jake hard to tell with this picture. but who cares if you are happy and its legal just go with it, and con grad on your bird.

To the OP. Can we get more info on the hunt? Such as behavior when you shot it? Did you call it in and it come running to you? What's the story...

Hey guys sorry for the delay ive been putting in a ton of hours. I already got rid of the carcus shortly after I shot it. The turkey came into my decoy and walked 3 circles around it before I shot it.


This is me and my step dad with our turkeys. His is clearly a jake.
