Default Worst patterns I've ever seen

Good Morning folks. You all would laugh at the patterns my new Winchester Super X3 throws. TERRIBLE!!!!! I tried every shell available in my area and can't get a good group. I'm shooting the SX3 with and Pure Gold .670 I'm not getting anywhere near the performance that you all are getting. In fact, my son's Remington 870 20 ga with a Jellyhead choke and 3" Winchester 6s shoots way better patterns than my gun. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I bought a new SX3 last year and had the same result. Never have found a shell and choke combo in 3 1/2" that is even marginally good. Very expensive paper weight at this point.

That's not what I wanted to hear but it looks as though I'm gonna have problems. I should have bought an 870 and a jellyhead.

That is disappointing.... Maybe someone will have some good advice for you. I shoot an 870 - so I can't offer any suggestions.

The SX3 is definitely capable of putting up some big numbers with its backbored barrel and invector plus choke system.

Were you shooting at a large piece of paper to make sure that the gun is shooting to point of aim?

Have you tried to adjust the stock with the drop and cast shims?

What kind of shells were you using?

Short of Nitro's, I have had my best patterns with an Indian Creek .675 shooting Hevi-13 3.5" 2.25oz #7's. Having said that Hevi-13 3.5" 2.25oz #6's, Hevi-13 3" 2oz #7's and #6's all performed very well too.

99.9% of the post on hear are about people shooting Benelli's Remingtons and Mossbergs... Getting great patterns...

Only thing that i buy that Winchester makes is SHELLS!!!!

Sell that paper weight and go by a Remington 870 super mag

Are you shooting Pb or HTL? What loads have you tried so far?

One of my buddies has that gun and has gotten good patterns out of it. I know he bought an aftermarket choke tube but I'm not sure what brand. I could ask him for you. I would strongly suggest trying a couple different tubes. I shoot an undertaker choke in my 11-87 and it patterns awesome!! I think they sell for only like $20 or so. A small fee considering what you paid for the gun. The gun should be capable of patterning well. You've tried different shells, the next step would be chokes.
