Updated Turkey Pattern tests-20,40,50

First off let me say thank you for the comments on my other thread, to the one that indirectly questioned my honesty all I can say is I have no reason to lie. I wasn't trying to impress anyone, just trying to find out about my pattern. Like my last post, the ranges were taken with my Nikon 440 Rangefinder. Here is 20,40, and 50 yards. On the20 yard line, I jerked the trigger a little pulling the shot a little high and to the right. At 40 yards I made a comfortable shot. At 50 yards, my pattern was lower than my 8" circle (I could see that on my target backing) but to be fair I only counted the 8" circle / 8 3/8" squared piece of target. Here are the results:

20 yards - couldn't count the hits (see pic)
40 yards - 177 in 8" circle, 34 in remaining 8 3/8" squared paper = 211
50 yards - 83 in 8" circle, 41 in remaining 8 3/8" squared paper = 124

I pulled the pattern a little low/left at the 50 yard line. I think 50 might be pushing it for me, but just wanted to find out what my shotgun could do. After shooting it I wanted to shoot one more 50 yard shot to center pattern better, but couldn't see shooting a $4 shell at a range I don't feel that comfortable with.

Here's my shotgun, I bought it for $200. It was mainly used as a duck gun. The inside was filled with axle grease/rust/oil. I Duracoated it with a self done camo job, including all of the insides. I added two o-rings in front of the forearm to keep it from rattling.

That is a nice pattern. I wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger at 50 if I were you. Unless of course "turkey fever" sets in.

Are you shooting the pre Flitecontrol wads?
I used to shoot some awesome patterns with their older stuff.

Ridge Runner; That should be the pre Flitecontrol stuff. I have since shot my supply of it up, but it would throw some mean patterns for me.
I do wish Federal would ditch their Flitecontrol wad, and get back to a more turkey hunter friendly setup....oh well. One can always hope.
