First question

You walk down a dirt road to locate gobble and stop to call. You start to call but here something. It sounds like a gobbler drumming. You look and can't see where it is coming from. Then in the shadows of a pine thicket you see it strutting around about 60 yards away. He has not seen you yet but you're standing in the middle of this dirt road and one wrong move and the hunt is over. So what would you do?

wait til he turns so his fan is blocking his veiw and drop to the ground. from there you have options.
let him walk off
if you can still see enough to shoot try and call him to you.

Gotta keep it legal, if risking spooking the bird to get to legal position to shoot, then that's a risk you have to take,

First make sure is not another hunter using a turkey tail fan and trying to attract turkeys, that happened last season in Florida and the guy was shot and kill by a kid.

I agree, you can't move until you know he cant see you. If he turns around or gets behind a pine, drop down! I've taken birds standing against trees and laying flat on the ground but never in the wide open. Hey lets face it, sometimes there ain't a dang thing you can do! :busted:
