Scopes for Turkey Hunting

I have been hunting for a few years now. i have a benelli super nova & this past wednesday i missed a pretty nice gobbler. My cousin has told me to get a scope put on my gun so what kind of scope would you recommend and what kind of reticul do yall like?

I use a Mueller MX1 red dot scope on my Mossberg 835. Works great for me.

Simmons make the Pro Diamond reticle that was designed for turkey hunting. Pretty good scope actually for the money.

I would definitely say that any type of Red-dot scope would work very well in shotgun applications. I have tried many different red dot optics from Eotech to Acog and everything in between. I have had awesome success with the Eotech though people with astigmatism have problems with reflex style optics. Recently I have learned of Vortex Optics, they make an excellent product with a lifetime no questions asked warranty. If it breaks at any point they fix it or send you a new one.

I have a simmons prodiamond on my 12 gauge and it has served me well for several seasons shooting 3.5" shells.

This year even though I don't like anything with a battery on my gun I bought a mueller quick site for my 20 gauge. I have only used it at the range and it is nice. I will see how it works in the field soon I hope.

I just got a TruGlo red dot for my 870. It is the one w/ the integrated saddle mount... looking forward to trying it out on the real thing next month!

Leupold 1x4 shotgun scope. Comes with the extra heavy reticle which really stands out in dim light.

I am currently using a Nikon. My favorite reticle is the crosshairs with a diamond, but pretty much any of them work well.
