Pick my next Hevi-13 load for me please

I'm getting great results with Hevi-13 3" 2oz 7's out of my Mossberg 535/IC choke but they are the only ones I've tested and I want to pattern another load. Which Hevi-13 should I try next?

3" 2oz #6
3.5" 2.25oz #6
3" Mag Blend
3.5" Mag Blend

I shoot the magnum blend 3" #5,6,7. Got a good pattern, and lot of distance out of them last year.

Due to the sheer number of pellets in the straight #7 shell I doubt you will get a better pattern unless you go with the 3.5" 2.25oz #7 shell.....so even though its not listed I guess that would be my vote.

the blend is my choice. i shoot them at 35,45 and 60 yards. not much difference in the pattern. it just looks like a swarm...............tony

I'm shooting 3" 2 oz #6s and I'm happy with them.

That would be my choice also.

Another vote for the blend.

I'm off to the store Saturday and I think I'll try a box of the 3.5" blend. If it patterns better than my 7's, hurray! If not, what's another 20 bucks??? ugh...

I have a Mossberg 535 with the truglo SSX choke.
I shot the 3 1/2" mag blend and got 207 pellets at 40 yds.
I do not think it will do better than the 7s, but it will kill a bird at 50 yds.

Have you polished your barrel? That also helped my numbers.

I did polish my barrel since I last patterned my shotgun. I'm interested in seeing how this helps my pattern.

I had 195 pellets in a 9 1/2" circle at 40 with my current setup (Indian Creek .660, Hevi-13 3" #7) but the densest part of my pattern wasn't in the circle, so I could probably up that to over 200-210 with a sight adjustment and upping to a 10" circle.

If that's what you're getting with the 3 1/2's, I may just save my $ and stick with what I used last year. I know it is plenty, I just like trying new shells :)
