H&R

picked up a 20 ga h & r at a pawn shop in vegas about 15 years ago only one i'd seen that was nickle plated. my son killed a nice jake at about 35 yds with it. not bad for 35 bucks.

Just noticed this: On the shipping label it says the gun came from Remington Arms??? Do they own or just distribute H&R?

Just found my own answer H&R is owned by the same company that owns Remington Arms which is the Freedom Group.

News to me. I guess you do learn something new everyday!

I have a 20 single that I used for the first time last year. Killed a nice bird with it. It was my first gun from my parents several decades ago. It just sat in the closet collecting dust. I had been looking for a lighter turkey gun when it occurred to me to get a smith to tap the barrel for a screw in choke, put a flourescent bead on the end and I was set.

A friend takes a H&R single shot 12ga when he's guiding. With thier turkey choke installed, it wipes'em out at 45-50yds.

It's so light though, that he doesn't like shooting the "hevi" stuff out of it...too much recoil.
