I use a Browning Gold 10 gauge with 3.5" Nitro 4x5x7 load and it is far and away the best turkey gun I have shot or seen anyone shoot. The pattern is awsome up close and it has major down range killing power. Also, the 10 gauge auto does not kick as bad as a 12 so the 3.5 shells are easier on you. The only down side is that it is a little heavy to carry if you do a lot of walking.

I like my Mossberg 500. It patterns great and light weight. But in the end it is what you like because you are the one that is going to be shooting it.

It is a nice no frills gun that gets the job done. I have yet to shoot a gun that patterns as good as my 870.

The old girl was looking a little beat up so I decided to do a camo paint job on it myself. I think it turned out pretty good, a little dark, but that's ok i am no professional at this.

My first attempt failed due to me not letting the first coat dry enough and when I first finished it looked good but all the colors ran together in was black. So I stripped it down and removed the paint and redone it with better results I wish I would have let each color dry for a full day before adding the next color and I think it would have turned out better. Used a matte finish acrylic enamel to seal the paint.
pics on the stock would be nice.

It looks like I'm the second poster on this, who totes a Winchester 1300 in the woods to thump ThunderChickens.

I know Maytom busted many a longbeard with one too.

My current beard buster...a Win 1300 NWTF Buck & Tom model. She loves throwing Hevi-shot and Wingmaster HD downrange through a Briley turkey choke.

No scope needed, jus' gimme a front bead and a bird to put it on.
