ceramic call?

Has anyone had any experiences with using a ceramic pot call? I just ordered on from a custom callmaker and will be done in a about a month and half. I just started turkey hunting two years ago and used a slate to get a bird the first year and a glass call last year to bag a bird. This ceramic is getting alot of rave reviews from how it sounds and how easy it is to play. What are some of you guys favorite surface and call? Thanks Scott

scoot I make calls too and I have to say I have some ceramic calls I have purchased, not made yet. It has its own sound and if done correctly will serve you well. I personally love slate over glass. I also have a copper over glass a friend call maker made for me before I started turning calls. It is flat awesome. Ed is in a class to himself. Arrowmaster has heard the copper call and he loved it too. The birds will gobble their fool heads off at it.

The only call I have right now in my hunting arsenal is a ceramic call... I apparently have 10 to try out this year coming up tho.

I've never used a ceramic call - but I'd love to have one / hear one!

Eric - I love your glass over slate call - has GREAT sound!!!! :)

Okay..... now I'm really really interested in this copper call. Where do I get one??? LOL

If the birds respond to it, I like it. Rios like glass. One of my faves though is plain ol' slate. I have a little call from QB called The Finisher. It's small with a rough slate that purrs real nice.

Ceramic and copper are 2 of the very few surfaces that I dont have. I would love to try them out. What I say is if you can make it sound good, and it fools the turkeys, it's a good surface. :)

Great sound and very easy to use. I have a ceramic over glass with a cherry striker. My hunting buddy and I made some over the summer and cannot wait to use them in the spring.
