Amazing Wild Turkey footage

This is for Turkey Goddess and the rest of Huntingnet.com
This is just a small piece of footage I shot today. These turkeys were SO close you can hear them walking and talking. They were 5 ft. from my ground blind for more than 2 hours. Great footage! Hope you guys like it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Anvjpug6jYA
Live it up! Doug

Thank you I'm glad you like it! This is just a short piece of footage of the nearly 2 hrs these turkeys spent around my blind. I witnessed things and behaviors that I have never seen before... how they feed and interact with each other it was quite amazing.
Live it up! Doug

I'm from Illinois. Why does Nebraska and Kansas have so many Marriams by the hundred? I hunt a lot in Nebraska, but never in Kansas. Do many people hunt them?

We have Rios and Rio Hybrids and Easterns... and 85% of the birds in Kansas are Rio Hybrids.
I hunted with Rob Keck a few years back with the Kansas Gov 1 shot turkey hunt and he said that the habitat, the NWTFs wildlife fund, our state chapters funding, and so on and so forth have generated huge numbers of birds...
I've persoannly noticed though that it depends on our spring... we have huge bird kills in the spring some years due to the temperature and the birds molting off feathers..
The Biologist said this year is awesome for both Quail and Turkeys.

Doug, nice work, I enjoyed the other vids you had up on Youtube as well. I see you like a ground blind, any particular make or model you'd recommend?

TIA

Rick
