What Decoy set up do you use?

I want to try turkey hunting this year and want to get some Decoy's. Any of you use the Red Head set of two hens and a jake from Bass pro?
Just curious what set up works.

Thanks

The brand doesn't matter much. A hen and jake combo usually works, but turkeys are so unpredictable. For $40 it is OK. i would on set up a hen and a jake, but that's just me.

decoys

I havent tried the red head decoys but the primos makes a pretty boy and pretty girl decoy and that has a slot where the fan should be so you can put the past years fan in to make it more realistic. It costs about $100 but its well worth the money, ive had turkeys litterally sprint in to this decoy. the only problem is that they arnt colapsable so you have to carry a big bag with the decoys in it to your location where you want to set up. even with this flaw i support these decoys 100%.

In my experience, ultra realism has changed the game forever!!! I love the DSD decoys and the hunts I've had over them have been nothing short of incredible! One of the best investments I've made!!!

I still use a real old carry lite 2 hens and a jake set. The jakes beard has long since fallen off so I put a small stick in to hang out. Most of the time I don't use them because I like to run and gun the birds and usually don't have the time to set up with a long beard coming in. Last year though I did get my 2 birds using the decoys on consecutive days from the same stand. The decoys are old and faded but they fold up nicely in my vest. The newer realistic ones look great but I will stick with my old ones at least for a couple more years.
