striker and friction call tips

i have a ringzone by hs strut and i got some new redhead strikers. there is a residue from the crystal calling surface on the striker tip. how do i clean and condition the striker so it will sound like it did when i first got it?

You have to "Condition" your striker just as you do the call surface. What ever you use on the call to do this, use the same on the striker.
