Hunting Across America

Tonight on a show called Hunting Across America on the Outdoor Channel they showed some idiot sneaking up on a group of turkeys by holding a turkey fan spread out in front of him.
Talk about dangerous!!!!
Did anyone else see this?

Funny you should mention this wacker, a friend of mine came to work and told me about this and I thought the same thing...what an Idiot.
To think about this for a minute, this is just as bad(or worse) as wearing red ,white or blue....stupid people on both parties, the fellow doin it and the network for showin it.

The guy was on a private ranch, nearest road or person was six miles away....explained that at the end of the show!

I thought it was very interesting.

It was pretty interesting, they shot a bird then he crawled out with the tail fan. He explained the situation about being on a private ranch in Florida and how far they were from any roads. They also had a do not try this at home disclaimer.

I also saw the show. Even if he is in a private ranch there could still be somebody out there trespassing if it's like in my neck of the woods. Sometimes you think your out there all alone on "private land" and low and behold you catch a glimpse of someone. Interesting but still dangerous to me.

they are usually very good about safty on HAA.I don't know why that guy did that, eventhough they were on private property.
here in Fla.I think it has something to do with the heat,it makes people be unable to read, especily when it comes to private land or posted signs.
they just walk onto your property and shoot what they want.
a turkey fan is a good target for pouchers.DUMB idea for a TV hoast to permit.
and I like these people on HAA.

I am not a hunter I am a whitetail population reduction specialest

remember keep your back to the sun, your knife sharp, and your powder dry.

It was on again last night. Besides the pretty stupid nature of the act, those gobblers were mighty confused about what was going on. He was also using the tail fan while he was calling to get the birds closer.<img src=icon_smile_dissapprove.gif border=0 align=middle>
