Are They Gobbeling in your area yet?
Im in North central Kansas and I have seen very limited activity this month depsite mild temperatures and nice days. I did hear some gobbeling a week ago but they were still in their winter flocks as recent as 2 days ago.
How is the pre-season looking in your area, what type of birds are you seeing, and what are they doing?

Today was opening day here in NW Florida. I carried my 16 year old grandson to see if he could call one in, and he forgot to bring his call. I put him in a food plot that we had been seeing a lot of turkeys in and told him he could shoot any bearded gobbler he wanted to. About 100 yards down the hill two gobblers gobbled on and off the roost probably at least 50 times early. Then 5 hens came in the plot followed a few minutes later by two jakes, he nailed one of them for his first turkey. Next time we will work on a longer beard.

They're ready here
Went out yesterday to set up the blind and get em primed. On the way out I saw no less than 30 hens being herded by 4 good sized toms. They were struttin their stuff for the ladies. Season is next week for bow then 14th for gun. Hope thy're still struttin by then.
