You See It On Turkey Hunting Shows?

They are set up in a good spot.
And here they come, 6 to 10 hens.
4, 5 or even 7 good Toms.
They all walk around, untill a Tom is clear.
Bang, flop flop, and all the other turkeys fly away.
How does this effect, the turkeys that fly away?
Does it make them call shy?
Does it educate them to calls?
Does it make them harder to hunt, for the next guy?

Or does it have any effect on them at all?

Thank You

If the shot is relatively close to them then they will be educated, a little harder to call in but it's possible.

The part you failed to mention is the guys running out hoopin' and hollerin' out to their harvested bird. Therein lies the real education.

Many times, if you just sit still and start calling immediately after the shot. the birds will come back. They definitely ain't comin' back if you run out there!!

Turkeys here loud noises every day. Thunder, etc.., etc..

That hit the nail on the head. And if you dont jump up and run out there and there are a few more toms chances are they will go jump on the shot tom and beat him up. This is good when your hunting with a buddy and they can put another one down.
