Choke???
 

i'm looking at getting a new choke for my winchester 1300 speed pump. its a 12 gauge and right now im using the choke that came with the gun when i bought it. its a winchester choke. i'm just wondering if any of you guys know some awesome chokes that hold tight patterns out to 40 yards.

The two top chokes today for most guns on the market are the Pure Gold that has been on top of any testing I've done and Indian Creek
Both chokes should be in the .665 -.670 constriction Hevi shot seems to be the anwser with these constrictions and found that Hevi *13 3inch #6 in 2 oz loads shot patterns that would work out past that 40 yard range with no questions asked...

how much would an indian creek choke cost???

They are a bit on the pricey side compared to cheap mass produced chokes. They will set ya back around $85.... but it's the last choke you'll ever need to buy for your shotgun! Good luck and good shootin'

At 40 yards the Undertaker choke on my 20 gage will nearly shear a turkey's head off with 6s.

i have a indian creek and love it but you might want to try a primos jellyhead also a great choke.....what type of shells will you be using then i can give you a few better choices?

If you want to shoot anything heavier than lead you need to be careful about what choke you use. Not all chokes are strong enough to shoot the ultra hard shot. I use an Indian Creek in my Browning with Heavy 13. I also have Comp-N-Choke for lead shot that produces excellent patterns.

I've used the Undertaker choke in my 12 gauge 1300 for a few years with great results. Make sure you get the one for hevi-shot and use any of the high density loads and you will be amazed at the difference. Can't beat it for the price! If you need performance beyond 40-45 yds then spend the extra money for the custom chokes.
