Default Turkey Choke for Remington 870???

I've been seeing a ton of turkeys this year during deer season. Just wondering what the best choke would be for my Remington 870. I may try my hand at turkey hunting this year.

first off welcome to the world of turkey hunting and for the choke i shoot a kicks gobblin thunder .655 constriction with winchester extended range #5 shot this combo has always thrown great patterns for me but if your not wanting to spend that much on a choke the jelly head and the undertaker are both great chokes for the money..their is probably more out there but these are the only ones ive had

I bought a SSX on lline at all about shooting. The choke is reasonably priced, the owner will talk via email and share great info with you. I was shooting 45+ in the turkey head at 40 yards last year with Federal shell. WM you know from hunting deer different set ups shoot different. I have never had a problem spending money for the best, but I have always tried to see if I could find a better more reasonably way. I started shooting an undertaker my first couplem of years. I then went to a Hasting which worked very well and I bought a new gun last year so I got the SSX, Arrowmaster can attest how nice that pattern was....didn't kill a bird, but hey. It is good place to start and good luck to you.
I am looking for areas to hunt near Greenwood SC- know anyone??

I would buy an Undertaker Choke. They cost about $20 bucks. best all around choke I have used. Try Winchester or federal #5 or 6s.

If you are looking to maximize your pattern take a look at Indian Creek, and Pure Gold. Couple that with Hevi-13 #6's, or Nitro straight 7's.

Not sure if your shooting a 870 super mag or a mag. I shoot 3.5" Win. HV 2oz 5 shot and a .665 Madd Maxx patterns my gun and this load awesome to the point you would have to see it. 116 pellets in the neck and head area of a turkey silhouette at 30 yds, 85 at 40 and 45 at 50yds.

X2 with Mr. Longbeard. I have had great success with Remington's super full turkey choke. I used in my regular 870 and also my 870 super max gobbler. I shoot Remington duplex loads (4x6) out of both of them and get great patterns.

As someone has already mentioned above, Indian Creek, Black Diamond Strike custom chokes.... they currently hold all the N.W.T.F World Records at the Still Target Championship including the ALL-TIME record,... 44 hits in a 3 INCH CIRCLE.... at 40 yards!!! WOW!!!
