Oh i know, thats a cheap way to get your attention...but hey, its for a good cause!

For those of you in the Kansas City area or who will be in the area on August 23, the South Grand River Gobblers annual NWTF banquet and auction will be held in Harrisonville Missouri. Its a sweet little drive about 30 minutes from KC down 71 highway.

If you plan it right, you could hang out at Cablela' s new store in KC then swing down for the banquet that evening.

And if you are local or in the KC area, we are always looking for new committee members who share a love of our big birds!

I went out by the local gunshop that handles our guns for our banquet today and the Win. gun of the year is a beauty, its as pretty a gun as I have ever saw. Good luck on your up coming banquet, ours is a week from tomorrow and I' m really looking forward to it.

I was planning to go to yours in Alton...till LOML pointed out we have a wedding on that Saturday and I have to help with some project I committed to long ago on the Friday...bummer!
