Out-of-state hunter in Alabama
I am from Michigan and I think my son and I would like to hunt turkey in Alabama because their season starts before our Michigan season.
Can anyone give any advice as to good public land fro hunting turkey in Alabama? |
RE: Out-of-state hunter in Alabama
I live in Mississippi 30 min. from AL. I have many friends in AL. The turkey hunting is great all around here. there are places on the web to help you. I'm sure you'll have a blast wher ever you go.

techie,
When are you heading down to Bama. I live in Indiana and am in the process of finding a spot to hunt to. Drop me a line and I can tell you the info. I have gotten so far. I am going down ove my Spring Break. March 16-23. George, [email protected] |
RE: Out-of-state hunter in Alabama
I have been hunting Bama birds for years and the Tuskeegee National Forrest near Auburn is one of the best public land places to go. It can get crowded, but I have found that a little leg work gets you off the main roads and away from most of the folks.
In the north part of the state, it does not get much better than Skyline WMA. It is the same situation though. You need to get away from the roads to get away from the hunters. Safe and Happy Hunting! My Hunting Page |

techie,
Butler Co. is supposed to have a bunch of birds. I suggest you re-post this question in the South forum. Good Luck. |
