How many of you hunt EVERY morning before you go to work?

I was thinking about this this AM while I was gobbler hunting (in the rain).
I hunt every morning, rain or shine from daybreak to about 7:00 AM. Many times I' ve had to leave when things were steadily improving or a gobbler was fanned out in a field. A few times I had to actually sneak/crawl away back to my car to avoid being spotted by a tom in close. Frustrating but there' s no other place I' d rather be.

I tried that last year, which was the first year I actually had a job that allowed me enough time in the morning to actually pull it off. It went o.k., until the afternoon hours rolled around and I found myself struggling to stay awake at work and actually bobbed my head so bad I smacked it off the keys on my computer keyboard. I' m a computer draftsman, so that didn' t go over to well........
I just try and work overtime hours, and instead of taking the pay, I' ll hunt in the moring till 10 or so, go home an snooze for an hour or so, then off to work I go. It works bester for me for a couple of days a week. Only got to do it once last week though, have worked stacked up on my desk up to the ceiling.

i couldn' t do it, when he hired me , he knew that i wouldlnt work any hunts, i have my priorties:Dand a great boss :D

don' t worry your not alone. I' m 18 and I get up every morning and go out. I did the same the last two years. as for having to leave birds the first 4 birds I called in on my own where lost because I was going to be late to school[:@]. yea ya get tired, and it may not seem as relaxing but I agree with you; I wouldn' t have it any other way:D

durning turkey season;whats work???LOL.
ya,I hunt every morning,I' m lucky.I can be from woods to my desk in 15 to 20 min.
I also have a real understanding boss man.if I' m in a real hot hunt and late,he will cover for me and take my desk.(that means a lot)[:-]

yeah, and it sure makes for a long day, but by 4:00A.M. the next morning you are up and ready for it again.

that would be pretty tough....im only 16...when i feel like hunting i just skip school..then if i work i will be at work by 4 when i start at the earliest....its nice being able to just wake up and say ahhhh i feel like going hunting and go hunt...cant wait till bow season to do that alot more...turkey season only lasted 1 day of that....i know kids that i goto school with that get up and go hunt before school...the one bagged a nice bird before school....brought the beard in still wet before school.....i dont like doing anything after a hunt...or rushing a hunt either....when im out there its about peace and relaxing as well as everything else...rushing around trying to get my turkey just isnt me....i dont know how you can be up at 4..hunt 3 or 4 hrs then be at work for 8 hrs..thats nuts.....but i know how addicting it is...and ya gota do what ya gota do.....good luck......

That' s what they make vacations for! I have taken 2 weeks of vacation for the last 11 seasons here in MO. I take the 1st and 2nd weeks off so I don' t have to worry about anything but turkey hunting!;) What could possibly be a better time to take a vacation from work than spring turkey season?:D

I' m with MTT here!Way back when I used to hunt some when I was on swing shift,but like the others I was about worthless the rest of the day and my wife didn' t really appreciate to much either!3 weeks vacation during spring gobbler season works wonders for me and keeps the piece too!!:D

When I work days I have to leave for work at 5:30am, there not even gobbling at that time yet, and after the night shift I' m too tired to go out!! So my days off and vacation time are when I go.
