Default borax??

What is it and where do I get it. I am going to mount the tail feathers of my first bird and have read to use this stuff to help keep bugs away.

you can find it in the laundry section of a store, it works great but you have to let the tail cure for at least a mounth..also dip the meaty end of the beard into it so that doesn' t spoil.

I have both the beard and the tail in teh freezer right now until I find this stuff. I have looked at Walmart, P&C, and Home Depot with no luck. Any suggestions.

Try your local Grocery Store you will find it in the " laundry Detergent" section
Wal Mart didn' t have it?
I can hardly believe that []
That is where I always get mine
Look for a Yellow and Green Box it will say 20 Mule Team at the top and in BIG letters BORAX right in the middle.
Remember look in the " Laundry Detergent" Dept.
Good Luck

You can get it at any hunting store. when i keep the fan i pin the feathers in the direction i want them to face. then i sprincle a little borax on it and wait for 3 weeks. if needed i add some more borax ar just regular salt to the meaty part.

Hope this helps
