RE: Turkey choke
Are the 2oz with a ported choke gonna have more kick than 1 3/4 with a non-ported choke?I think it will but how much more,do you thick I can take the kick of the 2oz #6s.I like the ported chokes better.I think it will be like the 3 1/2 5s 2 1/4 oz with a ported choke. Thanks Alot

RE: Turkey choke
If you are trying to compare the Hevi-13 2oz loads to pretty much any of the other 1.75oz loads out there the Hevi-13 2oz loads will kick less. This is because they are not being pushed as fast as the other loads.
On the other hand if you are comparing say Federal Flitecontrol 2oz loads vs. Federal Flitecontrol 1.75oz loads then they will be relatively close to each other, but more than likely the 2oz load will kick more. As I said before the choke will have a very minimal effect on recoil. To be honest I'm not sure I can tell the difference between a ported and a non ported choke while shooting the same load. |
RE: Turkey choke
I'm just going to try the Indian Creek .665 and use the same shells (Winchester Supreme 1 3/4oz 5 shot).I'm not going hevier than 1 3/4oz,I'm not goin against the owners manual.Maybe it will pattern better with a different choke.

RE: Turkey choke
It says its ''designed'' to fire 1oz (28 gram) to 1 3/4oz (50 gram) with shells 2 3/4'' to 3''.It does not say "don't"shoot anything hevier 1 3/4,but I think that's what it means. Thanks
