Wisconsin Fall Turkey

Hey guys I will be getting into this here in the fall. So my question is, how do you hunt em'? What are their habits? What are they feeding on? Any of your expert advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

RE: Wisconsin Fall Turkey

I've been looking for good fall turkey hunting information for several months now, even contacting some of the call makers to see if they have anything. I've found very little on hunting fall turkeys; however, I did find a book by Steve Hickoff entitled "Fall and Winter Turkey Hunter's Handbook" at www.abebooks.com I just ordered it, so can't comment on its usefulness, but at least it's a source of information. Good luck, Tom

Thanks for the info I'll have to check that out. Maybe nobody hunts turkey in the fall on here. I've heard that some people look down upon it, they want the turkeys saved for spring so that could be it.
