Crazy morning! A "Gobbling Hen"
I thought I was hallucinating. I started the day off working a gobbler from the roost but he had a hen with him. I somehow managed to call her up and thought for sure he would be in tow but hehung up about 60 yds. behind her on a firebreak we have cut through that section of woods. When she got about 10 yds.from meI noticed she had a beard. I've seen lot's of bearded hens so I didn't think too much about it. She stopped to look and clucked real loud which made the gobbler gobble. She turned around and headed for him. That game was up. I heard him gobble at some crows but they were moving away so I decided to move to another spot where I should have shot a bird on Wed. On my first series I got an answer but it was the weirdest gobble I've ever heard. I really can't describe it properly. It was real high pitched, hollow and a real fast cadence. I thought for sure a Jake. I messed with this bird for about 30 min. and called it within 15 yds. I couldn't believe it was a "HEN". I've been chasing turkeys for over 40 yrs. and this is the first time I've ever seen a hen gobble. Like I said it was a really weird gobble but a gobble none the less. I would have given anything to have had a video camera with me. She gobbled at least 10 times rt. in front of me. I swear between bearded hens and now a gobbling hen there must be something in the water around here.

That is probably a once in a lifetime deal there you are very lucky.
Here is a hen strutting and gobbling that I found on youtube.

KSFowler- Thanks for posting that video. That is exactly what she was doing only she wasn't strutting but she was gobbling a lot more. She must have done it at least 100 times.
