Public land turkey hunting in Kansas

May have next week off and I am wondering if it is possible to get a NR license for Kansas? Next question would it be hard to find public land hunting in NE Kansas and if so what kinda of luck would a guy have at this time of the season? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Over the counter tags can be purchased just about anywhere..... Go to the KPWD webpage and click on the "Hunting Atlas" and you will see literally thousands of acres of walkin turkey hunting in north central and northeast KS.... East of Hwy 81 is unit 2 and west is unit 3. You will need to specify when you buy your license. Best of luck......

i know of some real good places that don't get hunted at all. there are also a lot of places that get way over hunted, you will need to do your homeworkand possibly do more scouting than hunting.

near what city do you think you will be hunting?
