Decoy question
 

Ok, I'm a newby here. Got a total of ONE bird under my belt. My question is this: Do they make a decoy thatyou could set up to actually move? I guess I'm wondering if there is such a thing as a gobbler decoy that you couls set up to pivot and/or open/close a fan also??? Maybe these things are just not that brite, but it sure seems to me that a decoy with two legs or at least moving would be the way to go. Like I said, I'm a newby, so don't blast me too bad! lol

They do make moving decoys. The bobble head ones bob their heads in a feeding motion. There is some other gizmo you can by to make a decoy move back and forth. I haven't seen one that opens and closes a fan, although I've thought that might be something good to put out (my patent pending number is.....) Another trick people use is tie fishing line to a deke and impart motion by giving a tug.

That's what I was thinking. I would think that if you had a decoy that you could turn from side to side and open and close the fan, it would be a real killer. i saw somewhere, that someone adds a spring to the "leg" and attaches some cord to make the hen decoy tip down and "feed", that makse sense.
Ok, so they can see movement real good, but for the most part are stupid?

I am still trying to watch all the videos, but the 4 videos on the main page have to be the WORST advertisements possible, they show squat! There must be a better one on the site, i will try to see it.

One other thing i just thought of. Would a decoy like this be legal in Wisconsin? For example if it were set up to open the fan when you pulled on a string, and turn when you pull on another? i will check the regulations, but just thinking out loud here.

Ok, checked, it seems legal unless it's electronic. Quote for regulations:

NOT LEGAL

6. With live or electronic decoys for the purposes of

enticing turkeys.
