camo dipping question

when you get your gun camo dipped, does it leave a gloss finish? I worried that it could spoke a bird.

IDK, I just usec camo tape on everything, but then again my gun is a cheap Mossberg 500.

Shiny guns don't spook birds - MOVEMENT DOES!

Think about it - a gun pointed directly at a bird just exactly what does he see? - A "O" the end of the barrel.

If worried do like suggested Camo tape and Primos has a very nice Cltoh camo tape I use on my vidoe camera.

Camo on guns is more hype than anything else IMO.

Besides being old and sorta feeble if I shoot a bird and in the rush to get to him I lay that gun down - I may not find it again! :)

Everything in the woods shines anyway.... ever see an oak leaf... its shiny. Holly leaves... shiny.... the list goes on.

As JW said.... its movement that does it. Now, shiny movement is usually even worse.

Yeah camo dipping does not make a gun shiny, but as stated before it is movement that will give you away...with or without a camo gun.

Dipping

it depends on the top coat used. There are several options for as far as sheen is concerned. If the matte/flat finish is used there is no shine.

Oak leaves, and many other things in the woods "move" and don't spook birds. :confused2:So its not being shiney, nor is it the movement, on there own. Its being "out of place" and "unatural", whether its color or movement.
