I'm traditionally an elk hunter, but lately I really turkey hunting, spring provides a whole different setting and its fun to see the forest come back to life after winter.

Deer...However turkey hunting is growing on meBIG time. After the last 2 weeks,I think I'vebecome addicted to hunting turkeys. After killingmy first couple deer with a bow, I thought I'd feel the same adrenaline rush, ever again. However, having a tom gobble his head off and strut at 10 yards from me, changed that. Turkey hunting is a friggin rush and a half!

talonfoe 08-27-2009 08:18 AM

Honestly, turkey, deer, rabbit, squirrel don't matter much. In the woods with game on the mind and in the area is a rush. Yeah you says squirrel or rabbit pfft. Got my 1st rabbit last year in the barn yard while letting the kids practice with the 410. Single shot at full run don't know how I hit him on the draw. We ate him for lunch. kids loved it. Wife still gettin back into eating venison so I don't push. Tried bowin a few rabbits with the compound. New and very fun exsperience. tried squirrels with bow too. a couple shots. Until I lost 2 arrows I had just got the week before..... won't be the last time I try though.... just need more arrows.

bigangrychicken 08-27-2009 08:28 AM

Big whitetails----when I can rattle them in.

Otherwise--it would have to be big ole longbeards.

jepcho 08-27-2009 01:49 PM

Definately turkeys! Bow hunting during the rut is a blast but you cant beat turkeys in my opinion.

superstrutter 08-27-2009 02:58 PM

I love deer and duck hunting, but I have to say turkey hunting fires me up more than anything else. When in the woods, regardless of what time of year it is, I'm always looking for turkeys and turkey sign.

Arrowmaster 08-27-2009 05:50 PM

HMMMM I would say turkeys hands down. Im addicted to turkey hunting. I live for it, eat it and breathe it. Yes Im addicted...

dog killer 08-27-2009 06:35 PM

turkey and coyotes are a tie for first
deer are a close second

with coyotes you can kill as many as you can, which makes for a fun/long season.it's a hell of a rush to have one charging in on a dead run.even more fun when there is six !!!

Warkie 08-28-2009 03:24 AM

If I had to just pick one, it would be turkey hunting.

Firehawk7309 08-28-2009 08:32 AM

Honestly, I just love being in the outdoors. No place I'd rather be in the spring than in the turkey woods. Same rationale for deer during the rut.

Sheridan 08-28-2009 04:27 PM

Turkey hunting has me hunting Coyotes now.................love it !!!

Just trying to help my birds out.

Champlain Islander 08-29-2009 04:10 PM

drvsarchryhnt 09-07-2009 05:26 PM

There's nothing special for any animal that I want to hunt.It was really experience that counts on me. But trying to be specific, I have more fun hunting with turkeys and deers. I'd love the way they are trying to escape from me,its really challenging!

Gobble! 09-15-2009 05:18 PM

turkeys without any doubt

maytom 10-09-2009 12:01 PM

Only two seasons really trip my trigger. The Spring turkey season and the Fall bowseason for deer. If I had to pick a favorite between these two, Spring turkey without a doubt!!

G92 10-09-2009 02:01 PM

In order:
1)Ducks/geese
2)Turkey
3)Bow deer

ducks and geese are the best but i wont lie...turkey is the hardest and most exiting animal to hunt....there is nothing better than shooting a turkey.

PHA 12-26-2009 05:17 PM

Turkeys in the spring and whitetails in the fall.

BigBuck95 12-28-2009 03:49 PM

As aforementioned, deer, but what I should have also added were:
1.) Deer
a. bow :hail:
b. shotgun:wave:
2.) Spring Turkey:busted:
3.) Coyotes in the Winter:fighting0007:
4.) Fall Turkey:confused0024:

JoeA 12-28-2009 06:15 PM

Turkey then geese then a tie archery hogs & deer.

BigDaddy12t 12-28-2009 06:24 PM

Whitetails, but then again, they are the only thing I have ever hunted for.

FLBandit 12-30-2009 04:56 PM

This is my first deer season, and March will be my first turkey season. So far I think I'll like best whatever I actually manage to kill!

FireStrut 12-30-2009 05:35 PM

Wild turkeys, period.

maytom 01-03-2010 04:17 AM

#1 spring turkey hunting, #2 fall bowhunting for deer.

Treebeard 01-04-2010 05:47 PM

Amen to that!

lightfoot52 01-13-2010 02:01 PM

deer,turkey,women, that order

turkey guide 01-14-2010 08:54 PM

You would think it must be deer for me, because I spend more days hunting them, but I really love turkey hunting the best and turkeys are the easiest. The reason that I don't spend much time on turkeys is that those yellow, spongy, fungi start growing right during turkey season and I get sidetracked picking them. Once morels enter the picture there is nothing else that matters cause they are the most fun to hunt and definitely the best tasting thing I hunt.

tennboy 01-15-2010 11:46 AM

Longbeards and predators. Speakin their language is a thrill!

rettedl 01-15-2010 12:41 PM

1. Quail/Pheasant
2. Whitetail
3. Turkey

jaywalker 01-16-2010 10:37 AM
