What got the Job Done for You?

I think it would be great to see what gun, loads, choke, and calls you used to kill your turkey.

I used a Winchester Model 1300 Balck Shadow with a 22" Barrel with an Undertaker Choke(.665). Shooting 3" Winchester Supreme HV #6 shot. And Called him in Using a Cody Black 3 reed special cut mouth call. I know Cody is more known for its friction calls but man does this call sing.

What did you use to get your bird?

I used a Rem. 870 SPST, Leupold scope, Kick' s Gobblin' Thunder .665 choke, Win. HV #5' s. On both birds, I used a combination of 4 calls including a Quaker Boy Screamin' Green Hecklin' Hen diaphragm call, H.S. Strut Black Magic aluminum call, Steve Harrison Osage Orange slate, and an American Friction Cut-N-Paddle boat paddle box call. I must have sounded like a whole flock of hens!;) I finally struck the 1st bird with the Cut-N-Paddle and sealed the deal by bringing him on in using it. The 2nd bird, I had been using all the calls listed above again but had the Black Magic in my hands when a trio of birds came slipping in silently to end my season! :D
