lets have a competition!!?

i see that you allll have some pretty nice guns/load/choke combos. lets shee what they can do on paper at 40 yds.

lets see who really does have the best setup possible.i dont want to see any pictures ive seen before.

be honest about yardage. please state the load your using, choke your using, and the gun your shooting.

this should be fun

I use bow. :)

Last year I used my hand-me-down shotgun and at 40 yards I think there would be maybe 4 or 5 bbs on the turkey.

I'll play.....

870 express, 3 in magnum hevi-shot #6 (2 oz) with a 28' barrel and a Indian creek choke and I know for a fact this is at 40 yards cause I shot it at a well marked, military style, rifle range. I'm not sure if you have seen this pic or not but here it is anyway. I counted 151 hits in a 10' cirle at 40 yards

OK I'll play too but are we involving the these hunters that use the Ol Sugar Shot ? because everyone knows they can't be beat [8D]

Now I have to ask this - The photo above (Great pattern by the way) but I see you have circled a 10 in and it is off the head of the turkey as you can see through the paper right ? Not being smart here, maybe stupid but why are you counting something that is not on the place that the pattern is suppost to be ? I've never counted a cluster of shot on any target.

Here is a target I just shot this last week -

Adrian I agree 100%, the only thing that counts are the pellets that hit the turkey's head. But with that particular shot (happened to be the time I shot my hevi-shot #6), I'm pretty sure I pulled the shot to the right. I confirmed this by setting up another target at 40 yards and used a cheaper winchester double-X magnum to verify that the center of pattern is indeed where I'm aiming.
