Clear or Raspy?
For all you mouth call users, have you had more success with clear, high pitched calls or lower, raspier calls?

Depends on what the birds like. Its like people. Some people like fat chicks some like skinny. Turkeys are the same way.[8D]

I love a little rasp in my call. This is why one of my favorite calls is thePrimos Piggyback True Triple. I will try different calls until I find one they will respond to though, raspy or not, but I still prefer a raspy call.

RE: Clear or Raspy?
I like a call that is clear on the front end, with some rasp at the end. I try to findcalls that have these qualities, with the young nasal hen sound to boot.
