Here you go Shawn:

That's a fairly dense pattern. Much better than the pattern I'm getting at 37.5 yards with my current setup. Did you count how many hits you had in the circle?

i counted 194. not bad for 5 shot at 40 yds eh?

i guess ill have to aim at the base of the neck.

Well it's a good pattern and 195 hits isn't bad at all. But if you want to optimize the preformance of your gun thn spend a few more bucks on 4 Nitros. I know you've probably seen the discussions about this so dont say anything. Trust me, hunter to hunter, Nitros are the BEST.

Looks pretty good to me, you're right, the gun is shooting a little high assuming the black dot is your aiming point. As long as you see afew inches of neck above your front sight when you squeeze the trigger, that pattern will do the trick.

shooting really high at 40 but that is a great pattern. Even and dense. do you have a scope or sight adjustment? I'd lower that. Must be way over his head at 20 and 30. You have found a great choke/load combo but did you try those yardages?

thats a great pattern but like everyone else said your shooting pretty high so i would lower the sight down alittle bit

That is a great pattern with #5's!

Just put the 'ol bead on the bottom of the wattles and touch the trigger.

190's is what I get at 40 in 10" on my POA with 2.25oz #6's..........and that's with a highly polished bore and forcing cone and Indian creek tube.

If you can get that pattern on your POA you're in the chips because that pattern is EXCELLENT for straight 5's at that range.

Sounds like operator error on the 40 yd target. Best to verify though.

I'm getting the same type of pattern as you, and I'm using the Mossberg 835, HeviShot 13, 3.5", 2.25oz., #5, with a Indian Creek Choke, also I noticed I was shooting high also

RE: went to the range...and very happy

are you shooting the same highness at 25 and40 yards? or is it on at 25 and high at 40

nomatter what i aim just above the base of the neck, at 10-40 yds. so im good to go!
