What a difference a week can make!
 

Well opening weekend here in S.C. Kansas was tough with the gobblers running around with large flocks of hens that didnt want any more company. School kept me away all week and to my surprise Fri. when i got home those large flocks had broke up. We had a great weekend with a great 3 yr. old 10' ' bearded gobbler that came running to the calls only to fall to my buddies scattergun. Then on sat afternoon I got my second bird for the year. A nice 9' ' bearded 2 yr. old, plenty big enough to ride in Bigcat' s truck. Still havent got one for my bowhunting buddy, we did get a monster well within range but the hens got way to close and he was never able to draw. Man what my Mossberg could have done.
Well anyway good luck to all, just another great spring here in Kansas.
