turkey seminar with Eddie Salter
 

just got back a little while ago from a turkey seminar with eddie salter from HS.
Great guy and in my opinion one of the original bad boys of the turkey woods.
we even got to talk one on one. also got him to sign one of HS first edition custom box calls.
what surprised me is he checked every call before he would sign it. Just to make sure it sounded good.

in our part of the world, eddie is a turkey hunting god. when you meet him you will find him very friendly. i got an autographed call and book from him at the nwtf banquet in his home town last year. as a matter of fact, this years banquet is next friday. i judged a calling contest for the nwtf at bass pro in destin, fl. eddie was the mc. in addition to his hunting knowlage he is a very funny story teller..............tony

I think Eddie is great! He is an amazing caller for sure. I actually saw his H.S. Specialities truck on the side of the road one night and pulled over to check on him, (at the moment I didn't know it was him, just a H.S. Specialities) anyway, he and a friend of his were sitting there and had a flat, and were waiting for his wife to come pick them up. We sat and talked for an hour and never felt a bit out of place. We would have helped change the tire or given them a ride and offered both, but they just were content to wait for his wife. He gave me and my buddy a hat and signedthem for us. It wascool, and he has remembered me when I see him at shows also! Class act!

yea he is a great guy.we even got to talking about way back when he did that TK and Mike Hunting Video. we laughed about that one pretty good.
