Default Price of Hevi Shot

I went tomy local sporting goods store today to pick upa box of shells, and I was blown away at the price difference. Last year, Hevi 13s in a box of five cost 16.95. Today they got in this years shipment of ammo, and a box of five cost me 24.55!! [:'(]Has anyone else noticed such a severe price jump?

The store owner isa friend of mine, and he warned me they'd be going up. I didn't realize it would be this bad though. They won't have to ban guns, at this rate nobody will be able to afford them in a few years.

I shoot Trap - lots of Trap and Skeet

The price of ammunition is the result of the Iraq and Afghan War.

Ammo has been steadily going up consistently in cost! A 25# bag of shot jumped almost 6 bucks.

Obama has had no effect on ammo yet!

As long as it's legal is still okay to use plain old lead? I realize this probably won't be a choice in few years, but for right now I've had good luck with regular winchester supremes. I keep my shots at 30 yards or less and have only missed one turkey in the past three seasons. An 8inch tree trunk wasn't so lucky that day. I realize you can shoot longer ranges with the new non-toxics, but I just can't justify spending that kinda of money. But what do you guys think should I be using non-toxic loads? Good Luck This Spring!!!
