Default Indiana State Turkey Calling Contest

Anyone going to the Indiana State Turkey Calling Contest this year?

For those that are interested it is in Lafayette at Sportsman's Warehouse on March 21st at 9:30 am. I plan on entering for fun and maybe I will get lucky and place. If I don't place I guarantee I will come away with lot more calling knowledge from some of the other guys. If anyone is going to be in the area or planning on attending let me know. I would like to meet up with anyone else that is attending.

Not sure on the cost.I believe this is a NWTF sanctioned event and I'm sure you will have to be a member to enter. I do know that the winners go on the the nationals. It starts at 9:30 am. I will stop in there tomorrow and get us some more details.

Hey there, I'm not from Indiana but I might be interested in going, not sure if they will have a state division and a hunter division and so or or what? Also, what exit off of 65 do you get off of to get to the Sportsmans Wharehouse?

I'm driving from Racine, WI down to Montgomery AL on the 21st, gotta be there in time to hunt by the 23rd so I think I can stop in for the contest.

Does Indiana have a lot of serious competition callers?

I just entered my first contest in January, it was a whole lot of fun and boy were some of the callers AWESOME!, I learned alot, main thing being that its a little different when you are on stage versus just driving down the road working your calls!

Do you guys enter contests all the time?

Hootnscoot, you will take the 26 E. exit off of I-65. You will follow that road about 3 miles until you come to Creasy Lane. Turn left there and hang your first right. There will be a Sonic and a TGIF right there. This is a big strip mall and Sportsmans Warehouse sits right in the middle of it.

Here is the info for the calling contest. Doesn't cost much and I'm sure there will be some good prizes provided by Sportsman's Warehouse.

http://www.sportsmanswarehouse.com/event.cfm?storeNum=157&evtsID=7405&storeSt ateProv=IN

I'll be there for sure.
