Remington Nitro's

I just purchased a Mossberg 835 12ga 3 1/2" and everybody I've talked to that has this gun said that nitro's are the best to shoot. I am wondering whatweight and number of shotwould work best though. Any suggestions would help out. Also if you have the same info for Hevi-shot as well.Thank you

When everyone is talking about Nitro's they are not talking about Remington Nitro's.....they are talking about the Nitro ammunition company. Here is their link http://www.nitrocompany.com/
On the website just look up what gun you have and find their suggested load for it.

As for Hevi Shot I would take a look at Hevi-13 3" 2oz #6's, or Hevi-13 3.5" 2.25oz #6's using an Indian Creek .675
Hope that helps.

I also shoot winchester supreme #5's in 3 1/2 and love them. I have shot several other loads including the remington nitro's and finally settled on the winchesters. Both are good loads and you should have success pattern both. By the way I'm using a comp-n-choke xxx full.

I used a Pure Gold .670 in my 835 grandslam. It patterned the tightest (if you consider that best) with Hevi-13 3.5" 1 3/4oz of #6. To the tune of 207 pellets in a 10" circle at 40 yards.
