HELP WITH MY NEW TUBE CALL!!
 

I just bought a tube call today because no one i know uses one and it will give the turkeys where i hunt a new sound to deal with. i know it will be challenging to learn to use and i was just wondering if anyone out there could give me some pointers because i am just getting to where i can make " a noise" not even a yelp, or cluck yet. So if anyone out there can help please leave me some info. I have the HS STRUT tube call. its inexpensive but i guess its good to learn on. hopefully. thanks guys.

I bagged a nice 2 year old north carolina turkey this morning. it was the first longbeard that i have called in myself and shot. 9 inch beard 7/8 inch spurs 19 lbs. give me some info for my tube call please. thanks

Tube calls are both tough and easy to use, if thats possible. To begin with, they seem fairly challenging, but when you become familiar with them, the seem simple. They' re one of my favorite calls, they aren' t prone to damage by moisture and you can get loud on them

Hold the call up to your mouth and " kiss" it. Rest your top lip on the top of the call, and the middle of your bottom lip on the latex. To yelp, huff air up from your chest across the reed. Make sure to produce the high to low just like any other call to drop the call into the " yawk" , just kinda drop your jaw. Theres a few ways to cluck, kiss the call again and just say " took" . This produces a nice sharp cluck. I also like to cluck by kissing the call and huffing a short burst of air over the reed. To purr, just flutter your tongue like your purring on a diaphragm.

Thanks for the help PAbeardbuster. i' m getting to the point where i can make rough inconsistent yelps. anyone else got any pointers? i really wanna learn how to gobble. those shaker gobble calls don' t sound that good in my opinion and i wanna make a more realistic gobble on my tube call.

whole, too gobble on a tube call you need to say TuckAor Tooka real fast. Try to produce the sound Chee - Uk for the yelp and Tuck for the Cluck.
