Bowhunt turkey--aim where?
Ok, I don't know if i asked this before, but life is busy, so here goes:
Where is the best place to shoot the turkey with the bow? i can not seem to find a good picture showing it. Sure i can look at a 3D target, but realistically where to aim? It seems almost like smack dab in the center, could that be correct? I heard one guy state to wait til he faces away or quartering away, is that better? This will be my first year turkey hunting, and have no ambition to use the shotgun. Don't really want to use a guillotine broadhead either. i was planning to just use my trusty slicktricks with my 70# Patriot. Any other suggestions?

RE: Bowhunt turkey--aim where?
"Hurricane" did a great job showing your where to aim but IMHO I think you might want to switch from your Slicktrick's to maybe a large cut mech. Something in the 2" range. The vitals on a turkey are relatively small and the added cutting diameter really helps. I'm personally a 2-blade Rage guy but there's a lot of good one's out there. This is certainly not a knock on Slick's as you can see in my sig. I just think there are a few better "turkey" heads out there. Do you plan to hunt out of a ground blind?
