RE: Turkey Beard

No, not a decoy. I am doing a tail mount for a guy and my cat got a hold to the beard.

or try a Taxidermy shop that specializes in Turkey mounts in your area.

Most keep as a trophy so this request might be tough.

That is why I listed ebay items - good luck

did you kill the cat ? Reminds me of one of my first birds I had taken,we were all done, went inside for a minute and the chickens were all over the table eating stuff, my beard was gone, i was ready to kill every chicken looking for it, but lucky for them, i threw it in the garbage bag on accident, so they got to live and i got my beard ;)

Most of my family would kill the cat whether it messed with the beard or not; with all the allergies that run in the blood.;)We wouldn't really need an excuse.

Does the guy you are doing this for know you are making the swap? If so that's cool...if not, that's pretty deceitful, and you should man up to your mistake... I know I would like to know if my tom's beard went missing. Not a huge deal as there will be more to come, but atleast let him know.

Just my .01 cent.

I have on laying around in my room. The bird I got last year, was preserving the tail and beard to mount it, the cat go a hold of the beard! So, i have the beard, just in a bunch of strands.

P.S. Anyone who thinks that putting a beard back together is easy, you're crazy! lol
