What have you found to the most effective method to cover-up a blued/wood shotgun?

Paint? No-mar Tape? Heat-Shrink sheets?

I painted my BPS myslef, most say it looks pretty good.If you don't wast to put paint on it,they have several gun socks, and no mar tape.
each to his own preference.

I am not a hunter I am a whitetail population reduction specialest

remember keep your back to the sun, your knife sharp, and your powder dry.

Hey BOSSTOM,
What does he charge for say a Rem 870. I painted mine myself and it looks good, but I may have it dipped this summer.
Thanks
Bill

I had mine painted. Even though it looks pretty good, I've come to the point of not liking it. Bought some stripper the other day to take it back down to the parkerizing.

My advice is: Do something else but don't paint 'em.

I use the tape.Put it on right before season and take it off when I'm done hunting for the year.

Camo Clad

If you're looking for something that's removable it's better than any tape or sock I've used...

I would look at CAMO CLAD also It's been on my gun 3year now and i tend to abuse my gun during duck season and it's held up the best.At the price of $20 bucks you really can't beat it.

Last spring I wrapped my gun with No-Mar tape, and had no problems with it. I just recovered my gun last weekend with it.

Thanks for the responses guys.

I would like to stay away from painting it, and the socks seem to bulky, so i'm really looking at the tape and CAMO CLAD. And anyways, i've got a few months.

Thanks for the link proturkeycaller
