My Deer season Sucked Rocks.

If I just see or hear a Tom, it will be better than 2008 Deer Season.

Well my deer season was pretty good, but now that it is over I am definitely ready to hunt some turkeys!
I will be taking the turkey gun out this weekend to get reaquainted, plus driving the wife crazy with a couple of turkey calls. Come on spring.

I'm enjoying the down time since my deer season ended last week. In another couple of weeks when cabin fever sets in, I'll be anxious for turkey.

I'm ready and to get everybody a little more excited, yesterday was about 45 degrees here and I seen 3 toms fanned out sunning themselves. Such a thing of beauty it about brought a tear to my eye.

I've been ready for months now. I've put in for my MN. and WI. tags and have sent in a half deposit for my hunt in Kansas all ready. Spring can not get here fast enough.
I live in north central MN and we have about 20" of snow on the ground now with another 6-8" forecast for tomorrow. This winter is really starting to bite!! Been really cold also!

Look up Kansas Walk-in (WHCP) land in the Central part of the state. I know they have merriam's and rio's in the central and western portion of the state.

For Christmas, I recieved a BUTTLOAD of turkey hunting gear from my parents to include a gillie suit, Cabela's .665 choke, fiber optics sights, shotgun sling, knee brace and some heavi-shot 13 shells, so yeah, I'm ready.

I stay ready for turkeys!!!

I have been on my PC all day plotting and planing with my Topo 3dfor 2 different fall hunting places I just found with turkeys. My maps with way points are all ready for GPS upload !! LOL
I will get out before the fall season and pinpoint the turkeys roosting and strutting areas.
I have my favorite Spring places already to go but will be looking for a new place or two for backups.:)

I'm ready for the taxidermist to call and tell me to come pick up my gobblers from last year. She did say that it would be a year so I've got 3 more months to go. I'm going to order a new shotgun for this year. Anyone need a nice camo 11-87 and a Spartan 310 20ga? I can't wait to hear the sound of a gobbler on the roost at first light;).
