RE: turkey vest
Gobblenutt...At one time Basspro had their Redhead Bucklick Creek lounger on sale for $40, but normally it is $49.95. This is the model I have, and man it is comfy with a ton of well placed pockets. Best vest I have seen to date, other than the Bucklick Creek High Back model, but it is $69.95.

RE: turkey vest
I went to wingsupply and they have the Elite II listed for $59.
I wonder if the $49 was a super sale price. |

Bucklick Creek Highback Lounger
Excellent seat in my opinion. |
RE: turkey vest
i like the one put out by winchester that they sell at walmart. it also has pockets galore inside and out with a thick pad to sit on and it sells for about 40 bucks.

RE: turkey vest
Brian,
I have been getting their catalog and have not really done anything with it. That is amazing. The local Bass Pro wants $69 An huge outdoor specialist wants $65. I just got off the phone. $49 + 6.95 shipping. I will call that a done deal. |
RE: turkey vest
Well i have a Redhead lounger on the way priority mail as we speak. I had the Highback and i have to say that although it was the most comfortable vest i ever used, i didn' t enjoy walking with it. I am only 5' 6" and the pockets were bouncing up and down on my thighs. It really wasn' t a big deal, but it was noticable. Not to mention the fact that for $70 you' d think you could get a vest with some decent storage for your calls and gear, not just a comfy place to sit. I saw somebody mention the Winchester vest sold by Walmart. I have to say they have a very ingenious idea with the molded back piece in that vest. Very nice. I sold the Highback in order to buy the Elite II for all the storage. One thing i have learned, especially due to hunting public land, the " lounger' s" may not have the storage capacity of the Elite' s, but it has one thing that has killed more turkeys over the years than any call ever produced and that is SIT-A-BILITY. I can just plain sit longer, and sit motionless with the lounger type vest then any other one that i have tried. I don' t take many calls in the woods anyway. I' ve used them all, and i come back to the " lounger' s" cause they just plain work and make me a better turkey hunter i feel.

RE: turkey vest
I say go with a Bucklick Creek vest. I' ve been using the Extreme Turkey Lounger model for 3 years now and have had great luck with it. Great comfort and plenty of storage for me. My only problem is the nylon waterproof lining is starting to wear out. I' m a little worried, this will probably be the last season I get out of it. I hope Bass Pro is still selling them next year. Keeping my fingers crossed [&:].
