turkey Broadheads for MY bow.

I have a Kodiak Bowlogic 60-70# draw wt, and I was wondering what would work best for me? Expandable? fixed? (brands are a plus since I'm also new to bowhunting... This season was my first.) This will be my first year turkey hunting, and if I don't win the shotgun lottery I will be using the bow. :) Remember... money is of the essence! Just a poor young buck lookin' to bag a big bearded tom!

Thanks in advance to the moron that's asking a question that's probably been asked a few hundred times.

I know that you will get this alot but it will come down to your personal preference. I personally use the gobbler guillotine. There is also another broadhead that is very similar to the guillotine but I dont remember the name. I use these broadheads because they are a clean kill/clean miss broadhead. They are designed for head/neck shots on the turkey. I have talked to several people who have stuck turkeys with regular broadheads and did not kill them. Having said that if you put any broadhead in the right place it will kill a bird. I just like the head shots because there is no question as to where you should aim, and there is no tracking wounded birds.

There are a lot of broadheads on the market that will work. The most important thing to remember is shot placement. Don't shoot at a turkey unless you know exactly where you need to hit. A good broadhead will not make up for a poor shot.

I used the 2-blade Rage last year with good results. I'm going to try out the NAP Gobbler Getters this year. Another great head is the Magnus Bullhead. They will allow you to take head or body shots.

I use the Grim Reaper 100gr Razortips for turkey, deer, pig, and bear.

Thanks for all the help guys! Sure seems like lots of people are using those rage 2 blades these days. I personally have a fear that the expandables well, won't expand. Keep the suggestions coming, I'm going to gander mtn this weekend, archery sale!

I will look into getting some. I'm assuming at 70lbs draw I'll be getting some "shoot throughs" if I DO go with my bow.

actually im not getting pass throughs with them on birds. everything else yes but birds no. Im shooting a fairly light arrow 354 grain at 65 lbs for birds. I actually like the non pass through on birds, it keeps them broke down so to speak.

I will be buying some broadheads today. I might just go with the rage 2 blades, the muzzy's are awfully tempting though. I wish I could see which flew better on my bow first.
