Fiber optic. I have the Tru-glo Trupoint snap on sights on my 870 12GA. They are set just right after a little tweaking. Nice glow to them, even in low light.

I bought some Williams Fire Sights back in December and I' m very happy with them. They are milled not stamped of aicraft grade aluminum. The fiber optics in the rear sight are actually set inside the metal. The rear sight is also dovetailed to provide for a very solid mount and can be adjusated for both windage and elevation. They come now as a universal mount to fit all rib widths. The sights attach to the rib via a clamp on each side which is secured by two allen screws on each side. I looked around at the differn' t sights and these to looked to be the best built and most secure. I got mine from Natchez Shooting Supply on sale for $24.99 which you can' t beat! ;) They give really good light in both sun and shade.

:D Tru-Glow fibre optics all the way...have them on both my turkey barrel as well as my slug (deer) barrel....Remingtion 870 pump gun in 12 ga!!!!!!!! ;) Brampton Mike [8D]

I' m shooting a red dot this year, the Burris SpeedDot. Haven' t aimed at anything but patterning boards and our house cat (;)) but so far I really like it. Seems to be the ideal turkey hunting sight.

Sorry, forgot about price. The Speeddot runs about $170, which is mid ground for a red dot sight. Plus $35 or so for a good mount. If your lucky, your gun is drilled and tapped, I plan on having that done sometime in the future.

well i found a red dot in wal-mart and it only costs $30, is this a ****ty kind or just that great of a deal. and i am thinking about getting the true glow sights for my 870 spuer mag, thanks. who_else

I shoot the Burris too. This is the third year I have used it. I started out with one of the cheap ones like you have found at Wal-Mart, mine was a Simmons. When I put the Simmons on and patterned my shotgun parts literally started falling off after about 8 or 10 shots. I was shooting normal 3" loads at the time. I sent it back and bought the Burris. I haven' t had any problems with it. I change the battery one time during the season, not because it has gone dead, just because I want to make sure it stays lit. I really like the red dot style scope, but like PA BeardBuster said, it is better if there is some kind of mounting system already on your gun, either it is drilled and tapped or, like my Xtrema, dovetailed to accept a mount. I used a saddle type mount on my Pintail and I didn' t like it much.

does any boddy have the triviz sights from truglow? i have seen them in the ads for browing shotguns looks pretty easy just get the three things inline and let all hell break loose. and how do they mount on the gun with vented ribs? thanks, who_else
