Hey guys, cool site....

I am putting in for my first turkey tag in December, and I have I bonus point so I should be hunting turkeys by may here in Utah... I have a few questions maybe you can help with... My season will run from the first of may through the end of may... I have been scouting for turkeys and I have found several hundred in different flocks... we get several hundred inches of snowfall here in utah during the winters and I am wondering will the birds move from where they are now, in a canyon, when it snows.. I expect that there will be some snow left in the canyons in May so I am wondering if the birds will stay there or move??

the second question I have is that I want to take the bird with my bow... I have a couple of different bows but I am thinking about using my Mathews DXT, any suggestions for a broadhead ?????

Turkeys usually have a winter range and a spring range, the winter range will be at a lower elevation than thesummer range. The turkeys will leave when it is time for them to change ranges usually not because of snow fall.
That has been my experience others may differ. Good luck!

You may want to take a couple birds with a gun before you give it a go with a bow. Turkeys have excellent eyesight and can detect the slightest of movement. Not saying you cant shoot one with a bow. If youve never been turkey hunting hang on. I love turkey hunting and am addicted. Welcome to our world the great sport of turkey hunting...
