please help

can some one tell me what do you do when the gobbler roost next to hens and will gobble in the tree ,but the hens will fly down to him . then he will no longer gobble . i tryed calling to the hens but this dont work the only way i have had sucess is usally by accidend. i have gotten between the hens and the roosted gobbler and scared the hen causeing them to fly the opposit way of the gobbler .then you can call and he will fly down in your direction and will respond to your calls on the ground and usally come in .there are not ,many gobblers where i hunt. there aes no fields. it is just woods and swamp. the gobbler usally roost in the same area if you dont scare him. the hens will not be far, but they dont go the same way every time and you never really no where the hens will be. you can locate the gobbler cause he will gobble a lot in the morning in the tree, calling the hens to fly down by him. can anyone give suggestions ????

RE: please help

Best approach in my opinion is to pattern where they go when they hit the ground and be there first. Use purrs and soft clucks and you may call the hens to you. If they come he won`t be far behind.
