Renzo' s decoys?

I saw in the April 2003 edition of Turkey & Turkey Hunting magazine an advertisement for " Renzo' s Decoys" . These are siloutte decoys with a photo-finish of a jake or a hen on them. At their website, they are selling for $13.99. I was wondering has anyone ever used these? Or if no one has used these before, has anyone used other siloutte-type dekes before (such as Outlaw)? Do silouttes work?

Last season Shirley Grenoble and I used the OutLaws on a setup. After Roosting the birds the night before, we moved in before light and setup 3 of these Flat decoys. Just as light was coming, a slite Cross wind started , the Coys seemed to wobble unreal. We had a Longbeard come in but seemed to stay back away from these coys as the movement just didn' t seem to look just right. We did Kill the Tom. After this hunt I am unsure of this type of decoy. I have seen these renzo' s and the thing that makes me wonder about a disapointment is the Fold in them...BT

Good point, BT. I was wondering about the fold, also. I guess in perfect conditions silhouetts are ok. I' ve never used them, but I don' t mind the extra bulk of 3D dekes (I usually only carry 1 or 2 anyway), and I feel secure enough in their realism.
