I like them, but I have had the same problem with losing air. A lot faster than 30-45 min, too. I may buy ONE more, but if IT leaks after the first day out, forget it. LOL.

BTW, have you seen the ones (I think it' s a Fieldline)with a small inner tube zipped up in a cordura cover? Sets you up higher than the self inflating type. Seems more durable too. :)

RE: inflatable seat cushions?

ive had both kinds..the HS one and the field line one...the field line lasted most of the season....the HS didnt make it passed the second hunt....air came out soon as i sat on it...my dad had them too...same thing....i dont know if we are to hard on them or what but to us they were a waste of 15-20 bux...i hate carrying seats anyway or even strapping them on so now the one in my vest is enough for me....deer hunting im getting a collapsable seat...no more sitting in snow for me! turkey hunting i agree it would be a burden to lug around on some of the hikes we go through...

RE: inflatable seat cushions?

I am on my second H.S. Strut inflatable seat cushion. The first one lasted a couple seasons before it went flat, think I sat it on a thorn to finish it off though. The one I have now has been through 2 seasons and it still holds air just fine. I may not use it all the time this year because I finally broke down and bought a Mossy Oak NWTF Super Elite II vest. It has a nice big cushion already on it so I won' t need the H.S. cushion while wearing the vest. If it gets warm out, I' ll probably abandon the vest for something cooler like a fanny pack, then I' ll take the inflatable cushion to sit on. The H.S. cushion is lightweight and easy to carry and is a worthwhile cushion if you can keep air in them!

BeardsnSpurs beat me to it!

I picked up one of those inner tube deals the other day. It' s made by Field Line and comes with a Lifetime Warranty, so I figured I would try it for $9.

I am a big man and mine hasn' t lost air the past couple days despite the fact that I have been using it on my desk chair to test it out. lol

Try one of the new web seat stools they sell in walmart. I was amazed at how comfortable this was.[:-] If I could figure out how to get my lazy boy recliner into the woods I would use it.[&:]
As far as seat cushions go. I found that the foam doughnut cushions sold in Pharmacys work great. It gives support yet takes the pressure off your tailbone.
